Portfolio
Manager – Victor Vuskalns
Victor
Vuskalns is portfolio manager and investment strategist for
Tango Capital Management, LLC. He has worked in the investment
industry since 1989 and holds Series 7 and Series 63 licensing
from the National Association of Securities Dealers.
A
graduate of Indiana University, with a Bachelor of
Science degree in marketing and business management, Victor
worked for more
than a decade in the securities brokerage
industry as an active trader with an independent
broker/dealer. His record from the period shows no compliance
issues and no complaints, a relative rarity in the industry.
Early
in his career, Victor was introduced to the technical analysis
work of William O’Neil, founder of Investors’
Business Daily, and David Ryan, three times winner of the U.S.
Investing Championship with triple-digit returns. Building on their approaches, he developed strategies that
worked for his investment philosophy -- strategies heavily
based on technical and trend analysis.
Investment Strategist – John Vuskalns
Prior to his death in 2000, John Vuskalns
served as a managing member, money manager and investment
strategist for Tango Capital Management. He brought to his
position over a decade of experience in cash management with
responsibility for short-term investing and borrowing and
hedge strategies with Thompson Multimedia ADS. John also held
cash management positions with Mellon Bank, NA and First City
Bank of Houston, NA. For 10 years, he worked as a systems
designer, accounting manager and cash and collections systems
manager with Dow Chemical and Dowell.
Reinforcing John’s focus on systems and cash
optimization were a BS degree in Mathematics from Purdue
University and a MBA from Butler University. He passed his CPA
exam in 1985 and in 1990 captured second place in simulated FX
trading in Citibank’s Bourse Games.
